EtreWeb 1.0

EtreWeb is an Xcode template that will allow you to create web sites in Xcode. It is based on XSLT. You edit a set of XML files to define how the site should look. It includes files for a header, footer, and menu to be used on all pages of the site. Each page of the site is based on a single XML file.

How to use ShellHere:

• Install it. Then, in Xcode, select New Project from the File menu. Select Website in the User Templates area.
• Create XML files in the html or php directory for each page of your site.
• Populate the content tag of the XML files with your HTML or PHP content. Remember to use XHTML and CDATA tags as appropriate because everything goes through XSLT. Each page will have a consistent look with identical headers, footers, and menus.
• Use Xcode to build a Debug release to test your web site on your local MacOS X web server.
• When you are happy with the site, use MacFUSE to mount your web site under /home instead of ~/Sites and build a Release build.
• Includes custom CSS files for IE browser hacks.
• Includes a starter favicon file.
